“The Loop Head Peninsula” is an original, limited edition, hand-pulled lino print. It is designed, carved and hand printed in West Cork. It is one of the biggest linocut prints I can currently produce.

This print stretches from Doughmore Bay in County Clare to Bird Island in County Kerry. It takes in Doonbeg, Kilkee, Kilbaha, Carrigaholt, Kilrush and Scattery Island before crossing the River Shannon to Glin in Co. Limerick. It continues over the border to Co. Kerry where you will find Tarbert, Ballylongford, Ballybunion and all the many townlands, coves and inlets in between.

The Loop Head Peninsula is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way on the West Coast of Ireland. It is an area of outstanding beauty, rich in culture, the arts, ancient archaeology, great food and stunning scenery. This dramatic stretch of coastline offers panoramic cliff views, from the Bridges of Ross to the Loop Head Lighthouse. Bustling seaside villages, such as Kilkee and Kilrush sit alongside quiet beauty spots where the only sounds are the crashing of waves and the squawk of the seagulls. Crossing the mighty River Shannon from Killimer to Tarbert will bring you into the Kingdom of Kerry. They may be rivals on the football pitch but both counties offer unrivalled beauty that is hard to beat.

Each “The Loop Head Peninsula” is individually printed by hand using the highest quality fade resistant gold ink. It is printed on azure blue Canson mi-teintes paper. This is a 60% cotton paper, acid free and conservation quality. This means that your print will resist fading, yellowing and deterioration.

*Please note that the print comes unframed. The images supplied are simply to give an idea of how it may look when framed.

Also please note that your print was made by a human hand. This means that there will be small variations between prints, which adds to their uniqueness.

If a print is out of stock, please check back again in a couple of weeks, as I will be printing more. If a limited edition sells out, it will be removed from the shop.

Due to the size of the print, it will be sent rolled in a protective mailing tube and packaged to avoid damage to the print. It will be ready to bring to a framers for framing.
